Christian youths have been admonished to always live a Godly life in all their endeavours.
First Baptist Church, Gwagwalada,.Youth Pastor Mr James Ojekunle stated this in a sermon to mark the Annual Youth Week special church service.
Taking his bible reading from the book of Galatians Chapter 2 verse 19 to 20, Pastor Ojekunle also advised them to be dedicated to the service of God and humanity.
According to him, surviving the day may be tough but the grace of God is sufficient for His children to succeed in life.
He stressed the need for youths to be steadfast in faith and prayers in whatever and wherever they found themselves.
The youth Pastor also enjoined them to be patriotic and contribute their quota to national peace and development.
Speaking on this year’s theme “Crucified Life”, the Youth President of the Church, Mr Amos Adeoye said the essence of the Youth Week was to celebrate the leadership qualities of youths in Baptist family in line with the doctrine of Nigerian Baptist Convention, NBC.
Mr Adeoye who expressed concern over challenges confronting Nigerian youths advised them to keep hope alive for a greater Nigeria.
He said the Church would continue to embark on programnes that would make youths good ambassadors of Christ.
Some of the youths who spoke on the occasion thanked God for sparing their lives to witness this year’s Youth Week.
They also appealed to Government at all levels to embark on programnes that would improve the living standards of Nigerian youths.
The service witnessed thanksgiving, planet, presentation of gifts and prayers for Nigeria.
