Wellbeing Foundation Africa Embraces PPP ,To Improve Health Services Provision
The Wellbeing Foundation Africa has welcomed and hosted foreign partners – IntraHealth and DAI Global Health to Nigeria to foster a mutual collaboration for improved health services in the country.
The team of visitors which included, the President and CEO of IntraHealth International, Pape Gaye; the President of DAI Global Health, Chris Legrand; and the Senior Vice-President of IntraHealth, Ms Rebecca Koehler were received by the Founder-President of Wellbeing Foundation Africa, Mrs Toyin Ojora Saraki along with the Vice-President of WBFA, Mrs Amy Oyekunle and the Nigeria Country Director of WBFA, Dr. Luther-King Fasehun.
The team of partners, while on their visit, were led by the WBFA team to pay a courtesy visit to the Chairman Senate Committee on Health, Senator Lanre Tejuoso at the Nigerian Senate,they also paid a visit to the Deputy Chairman, House Committee on Healthcare Services, Mohammad Usman at the Federal House of Representatives and finally they visited the Nigeria Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole in his office.
The purpose of the visit to Nigeria and WBFA collaboration is to foster a partnership between Wellbeing Foundation Africa, IntraHealth and DAI Global Health to bring new approaches into the Public and Private Sector to enable the most vulnerable population access Primary Healthcare.
The Founder of Wellbeing Foundation Africa, Mrs Toyin Ojora Saraki has also welcomed the Federal Government’s Community Health Influencers, Promoters and Services (CHIPS), a programme set up by the Federal Ministry of Health (FMOH) in collaboration with National Primary Healthcare Development Agency (NPHCDA).
She said: ” CHIPS is a welcome step to increased community participation and engagement, towards demand creation for better health outcomes for all Nigerians.”
