We Have No Confirmed Case Of Covid-19 – Senate
The Senate says no senator has been confirmed positive of the corona virus.
The chairman, Senate committee on health, senator Ibrahim oloriegbe stated this while addressing newsmen in Abuja.
He explained that all the Senators who returned from high risk countries passed through normal processes of verification from the disease and urged the media, to always confirm information before feeding the public.
Senator oloriegbe who further noted that the red chamber suspended handshake for the past two weeks emphasised the need for more testing kits in the country.
He stressed the need for observation of personal hygiene at all times.
In another development, the Senate announced the demise of Senator Rose Oko, who represented, Cross Rivers North, in the ninth Senate.
The red chamber held a minute silence in honour of their deceased colleague.
