Owing to the violent dimension the End SARS protest is taking in some parts of the country a Non-Governmental Organisation, Patriots For Growth And Development Initiative, PGDI, has called on the Federal Government to quickly arrest the situation so as not to plunge the nation into anarchy.
Executive Director, PGDI, Isaac Nasim Salami stated this at a news conference in Lokoja the Kogi state capital.
He said the continued disruptions, attacks and killings in recent days was a carefully planned effort and handiwork of enemies of Nigeria geared towards subverting the relative peace and unity .
According to him government was attending to the five demands of the protesters as such the youths have no reason to remain on the streets.
He appealed to them to give the federal government the benefit of doubt to fully implement their demands and the police reform stressing that President Muhammadu Buhari in his nationwide broadcast said that the police reform would take a while before Nigerians start to feel the impact.
Mr Salami urged well meaning Nigerians to speak to the protesting youths to sheath their sword as they have won the battle.
