In continuation of the inconclusive kwara Peoples Democratic Party ,PDP Governorship primaries, only two aspirants are now left in the race.
Apart from the Speaker Kwara state house of Assembly, Dr Ali Ahmad who had earlier withdrawn from the race yesterday, seven out of the remaining contenders eyeing the coveted position were also announced to have bow out of the race.
Addressing delegates earlier at the venue of the ongoing gubernatorial primaries, Chairman of the states chapter of PDP, Kola Shittu, commended the delegates for their unalloyed support for the party.
Also speaking, the state Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed commended those aspirants who sacrificed their personal ambitions for general interest of the party.
He explained that all issues that led to the disruption of the exercise yesterday had been revolved.
Correspondent Lawrence Afolabi reports that the exercise is being monitored by officials of the independent national electoral commission and representatives of the PDP National Electoral Committee led by Mr Charles Managbo.
