Senate: Outgoing Chief Whip Advises 9th Senate On Common Mistakes

The out going Chief Whip of the 8th Senate, Senator Olusola Adeyeye has advised the 9th Senate to avoid the mistakes of the 8th Senate.

He gave the advice in Abuja during a valedictory session to mark an end to the 8th Senate.

Senator Adeyeye blamed his colleagues for lack of strict adherence to the rules guiding the red Chamber.

The out going lawmaker who represented Osun central in the 8th Senate called on the 9th Senate to avoid lateness to plenaries, which starts at 10 a.m.

Senator Adeyeye further appealed to the 9th Senate to take oversight functions with the desired seriousness in the interest of the nation’s development.

He insisted that first timers at the upper legislative Chamber, should not be allowed the position of Senate minority leader, stressing that it is an anomaly.
