Senate Adjourns Sittings For Two Weeks Over Coronavirus
The National Assembly has adjourned sitting for two weeks due to the pandemic of COVID 19.
The Senate President Ahmad Lawan who announced this in Abuja, after an executive session which lasted for over two hours said the leadership of the Senate would be around to attend to any case of emergency .
Senator Lawan urged the Executive to Make special funds available to tackle the virus,stressing that state governments should be assisted with funds to effectively curb the spread of the pandemic.
The President of the Senate thereby urged it’s committees on Health and primary Health care and communicable diseases to continue to engage with the Presidential task force as well as the Ministry of Health.
