Super Eagles Boss Names Mikel, Moses For Zambia Clash

Super Eagles boss Gernot Rohr has called up 23 players including Alex Iwobi for the crucial 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Zambia in Uyo.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria need a win when they face Zambia on Saturday, October 7 in Uyo to qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

For the game, Rohr maintains the same squad he had for the doubleheader against Cameroon in early September.

Goalkeeper Dele Alampasu and Tyronne Ebuehi are the only omissions, dropping to stand-by list.

Arsenal star Iwobi who missed the doubleheader against Cameroon because of an injury is back in the squad. Daniel Akpeyi is also back in the team.
Captain John Mikel Obi, Victor Moses, Ahmed Musa, Wilfred Ndidi, Kelechi Iheanacho, Odion Ighalo, Leon Balogun are part of the squad as expected.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria are top of Group B of the African zone qualifiers with 10 points while Zambia are second with seven points.
