The Member representing Mangu – Bokkkos Federal Constituency Solomon Marreng has called on Government to intensify efforts to rescue an aid worker Miss Jennifer Samuel who was abducted by suspected Boko Haram insurgents last Sunday in Maiduguri.
In a statement he personally signed, Marreng expressed regret that Miss Samuel was the second victim of such abduction from the state in three weeks and the fourth in Four months.
He said Miss Samuel, an orphan from Bokkos, his constituency , was kidnapped as on the 21st anniversary of her father’s demise.
Marreng blamed the insecurity in the Country on laxity of Security personnel, noting that as Legislators, they will continue to carry out all necessary functions with regard to National security.
He demanded the rescue of Miss Samuel and others in captivity as a test to the country’s capacity to rise up to the Security needs of Communities.
While condoling with the affected Families, Marreng called on people of the Constituency to remain calm and law abiding and use the festive period to pray for the immediate and unconditional release of Jennifer Samuel and others in captivity.
