The House of Representatives committee on Niger Delta has called on the Special Adviser to the President on Amnesty Brigadier General Paul Boroh to provide relevant documents on the 2017 budget performance of the agency before its next sitting.
This resolution was reached by the committee following the inability of the agency to furnish the committee with vital details on previous budget performances.
The Chairman of the committee member Representing Akpabuyo Bakassi Calabar south Federal Constituency of Cross River state Essien Ayi maintained that the committee would not commence the 2018 budget defense unless the amnesty agency presents its previous budget performance.
In his remarks, the special adviser to the president on amnesty Brigadier General Paul Boroh urged the committee to reschedule the meeting such that the agency would be able to adequately prepare the relevant information on the 2017 budget performance.
The committee also requested for the appearance of all directors from the agency at its next meeting.
