Political Party, DPC Advocates Three Terms For Legislators

The Democratic Peoples Congress ,DPC, has advocated a maximum of three terms tenure for legislators at both the State and National Assemblies.
The National Chairman of the party Reverend Olusegun Peters stated this at the first National convention of the party in Abuja.
According to him limitation of tenure for law makers would provide more opportunity for youths to participate in legislation.

Reverend Peters also cautioned the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC against proliferation of political parties in the country, stressing that some political parties are finding it difficult to survive.
He called for amendment of the Electoral Act to adequately guide against registration of political parties.
The DPC party Chairman also appealed to politicians to always strive to fulfill their campaign promises to the People.
