The Kwara State Police Command has paraded twelve suspected criminals for various offences which ranges from conspiracy, assault, armed robbery, membership of secret cult and buying and selling of human parts.
Commissioner of police, Bolaji Fafowora while addressing newsmen in Ilorin, the State capital, explained that parading of the suspects became imperative to sensitize the public on criminal activities.
He explained that steps are being taken by the kwara state police to sanitize the nook and cranny of the state from criminal activities.
Mr Fafowora stressed that the command under his watch would not relent in waging war against crimes.
Among those paraded were one Kale Bayero, who has been declared wanted since last year but was not lucky when the anti cult section of the state CID raided his hideout and was arrested along with four other accomplices for being members of Eiye secret cult and attempt to commit culpable homicide and armed robbery.
Also paraded were Abdullah olanrewaju, Taofiq Sulyman, Yusuf Alao, Musa Imam and Abdullah Abubakar who were arrested following credible information received by the CID on the nefarious activities of being members of Eiye and Vikings secret cult and terrorizing the innocent people of Kwara state.
The last set of people that were paraded were Suleiman Fatimoh and Salaudeen Ibrahim who were caught in possession and trading of placenta.
Correspondent Yusuf Abdulkadri reports that according to the state commissioner of police, Mr bolaji fafowora, all the suspects have confessed to the crimes and would soon be charged to court as soon as investigations are being concluded.
