Plateau: Wuyep Emerges President Of All Farmers Association of Nigeria

Mr John Wuyep has emerged winner of the All farmers association of Nigeria (AFAN) Plateau State Chapter.

  Mr Wuyep who emerged winner beat his opponent elder Dickson Mangkwat with forty-six votes while elder Dickson came second with just two votes.

In his acceptance speech, Wuyep promised to work hard to unite members of the association after the few years of disunity.

He applauded the electoral committee for conducting a fair and credible election.

Wuyep however called on the farmers in the plateau to join hands with the new executive to take farming to a higher level.

The former care taker of the all farmers association, Philip Azi, who described the elections as a fair and opened process, expressed that it was high time the association engage people who will stand for the general good of farmers in the state.

Earlier, the chairman of the electoral committee, Linus Joseph, explained that the committee experienced some challenges but however was determined to solve the problems that was already facing the association.

Also speaking on behalf of the national officer, Hajia Nana Bashir who applauded the electoral committee for putting up the election within a short notice urged members never to allow the problem that existed in the past repeat itself .
