Plateau State ADP Promises To Unlock Tourism Potentials If Voted Into Power

The Action Democratic Party, ADP, in Plateau state has promised to unlock the vast tourism potentials inherent in the state for its turn- around development if voted into office in the forthcoming elections.

The party gubernatorial candidate, Retired Brigadier General Jon Temlong made this known while speaking with radio Nigeria in Abuja.

Temlong said efforts would be geared towards boosting the tourism industry as well as creating an enabling environment for business to strive in the state.

He regretted that the abundant tourism sites which could have been used to turnaround the fortune of the state had been left untaped .

The ADP Governorship hopeful therefore, promised to create an inclusive and participatory tourism development roadmap, that would involve the communities through their development associations, the private sector and all critical stakeholders in the tourism value chain.

Temlong who said considering the immense potentials that Plateau State possesses, and given the advantage of an all-year-round clement weather, pledged to create a visitor-friendly community throughout the state that would attract foreign investors.

“i will provide an environment that would creates a conducive atmosphere for travel and tours to thrive, in addition to the resuscitation of the Jos Ultra Modern Market.

According to Temlong in revitalising the Tourism sector local experience will be use by imploring the Public/Private sector Partnership, (PPP) strategy to create a convergence for the demand and supply chain in the Tourism and Travels Sectors.

“Plateau State is blessed with solid minerals like tin, columbite, silicon, limestone, kaolin, etc, that are all in large quantities” Temlong added.

He pledged to promote a sustainable environment where anarchy and chaos will be eradicated completely for meaningful development.
