President Goodluck Jonathan and Gen. Mohammadu BuhariPresident Goodluck Jonathan of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and his main challenger in Saturday’s presidential election, Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have signed another peace accord.

The two leading candidates in the election signed the accord after they both met behind closed-doors today at the Ladi Kwali Hall of Sheraton in Abuja.

The accord and the meeting were facilitated by the National Peace Committee for the 2015 General Elections, led by former Military Head of State, Gen. Abdusalami Abubakar.

The ceremony was witnessed by the National Chairmen of both parties; Adamu Mu’azu of PDP and John Oyegun of APC.
