Over 300,000 PVCs Yet to Be Collected in Plateau – INEC

Over three hundred thousand Permanent Voters cards are yet to be collected by registered voters in plateau State.
The State Resident Electoral Commissioner, INEC, Plateau State, Mallam Hussaini Halilu Pai made this at a meeting with chairmen of all Political Parties in the state.
Mallam Hussaini Pai said without the PVC no voter will be allow to vote even if the person has registered.
He said INEC in the state has registered over five hundred thousand electorates between April 2017 and August, 2018, out of which one hundred and fifty thousand have so far collected their PVCs while remaining three hundred and nine thousand to be collected.
Pai also noted that INEC will do its best to move to the registration areas for the distribution of the remaining PVCs.
The State Resident Electoral Commissioner, urged the Political parties to ensure that electorates collect their permanent voters cards before the election, saying INEC will not use the incident form during the 2019 general elections.
He however advised all the Political parties to be peaceful during their campaigns and rallies, saying they should properly inform INEC on dates, venues and times of their campaigns for monitoring as was done during the primaries.
