Normalcy has also been restored in border communities between Benue and Nasarawa States.
Speaking with Radio Nigeria some of the IDPs appealed to the Nasarawa state government to assist them in the reconstruction of their homes.
Nasarawa state President Tiv youth organisation Comrade Peter Ahemba said the presence of the military has given the people hope.
Comrade Ahemba observed that as the rainy season approaches, it is imperative for the state government to take necessary measures toward ensuring lasting peace in the areas.
