NYANYA BOMB BLAST: CASE ADJOURNED TILL NEXT MONTH
The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has adjourned the case of the alleged mastermind of last year Nyanya bomb blast for hearing and trial.
The case which is between the Federal Government of Nigeria and Aminu Oguche and six others was slated for hearing yesterday.
Prosecution Counsel, Mr.Aminu Ogunsina asked the court to adjourn the case on the basis of the submission of an application he made to the defense counsels to modify an order.
Counsel to the first accused Ahmed Raji, SAN, argued that the prosecution was deliberately trying to delay and avoid hearing.
“They file the application on the ninth, they did not serve on that day, they did not serve on the tenth, or eleventh, twelfth or thirteen not even on the fourteenth, they waited till on the fifteth,we are left with no other impression than to infer that this was a ploy to delay or avoid a hearing of this case” he said.
The trail Judge, Justice Ahmed Mohammed adjourned the case to eleventh and twelfth of next month for hearing and trail.
