NO MORE WAR Says Menakaya and Agbasilamo

book LauchNigerians have been called to shun all forms of wars and live in unity for national development.

A former minister of Health, Dr Tim Menakaya who made the call at a book presentation in Abuja, emphasised the need for citizens to learn from the past wars that claimed the lives of many nigerians posing a threat and danger to national security.

Menakaya, urged citizens to exhibit positive attributes of various ethnic nationalities in Nigeria and give peace a chance especially during and after the forth coming elections.

In an address the writter of the book ” The Forest Dames” Mrs Ada Agbasimalo who discribed war as a serious disagreement, stressed the importance of peace in any society as she recalled her experience as an Internally Displaced Person in the sixties.

Mrs Agbasimalo, called on Nigerians to join in the campaign “No More War” and stop the drumbeats of war.

Hihglight of the event included music from police band, songs from Solid Women Initiative and Drama.
