NJC Constitute Panel To Investigate Petitions Against Acting CJN, Onnoghen

The National Judicial Council has constituted a five-man panel to investigate the allegations leveled against the suspended Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Onnoghen, and the acting CJN, Justice Tanko Muhammad.
This is contained in a statement signed by NJC’s Director of Information, Mr. Soji Oye,
According to the statement council considered the petitions to be worthy of further investigation.
The panel is to be headed by a retired Justice of the Supreme Court, Justice S.A Akintan.
It added that a new petition was filed against the acting CJN Justice Muhammad by the Action People’s Party directing him to respond within 7 days.
