FCT Minister, Malam Muhammad Bello wants residents of the territory to use the opportunity provided by this 60th anniversary to demonstrate acts of unity and togetherness towards our neighbors and everyone else we come in contact with.
The Minister made the call in his address to mark Nigeria at 60 independence anniversary.
Malam Bello who stressed the need for residents to continue to project those values that have always kept the country together as a single entity, described the FCT as the symbol of Nigeria’s unity, where national values must be projected.
His word:“For us in the FCT, the dream of our founding fathers was to build a city that showcases our national aspirations. As residents, our charge is to uphold these ideals.”
The Minister who also pointed out that the FCT is in its 44 years of existence, charged all residents to ‘own the Abuja dream’ and work towards the preservation of our collective heritage.
Malam Bello particularly commended His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari, for his exemplary leadership qualities, the health workers, all the nationalists, leaders, statesmen and citizens for their peculiar contributions to nation building.
Malam Bello also used the occasion to encourage residents to keep maintaining the COVID 19 safety protocols to stay healthy.
