Nigeria to Sign Bilateral Agreements with Saudi Arabia Over 2019 Hajj
The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON, will on 12th December 2018, in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, sign crucial papers that will shape 2019 Hajj exercise.
This is contained in a statement by Fatima Sanda Usara, Head of Public Affairs Division of the commission and made available to newsmen.
The signing of 2019 Hajj Memorandum of Understanding will be penned down at the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in the presence of Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Muhammad Saleh bin Taher Benten,
Nigeria’s Minister of State, Foreign Affairs, Hon. Khadija Abba Ibrahim, NAHCON Chairman, Barr. Abdullahi Mukhtar Muhammad, NAHCON Commissioners and other important dignitaries. Apart from Pakistan, Jordan and Turkey, Nigeria is among the first five countries to be invited and hosted by the Kingdom for this esteemed visit.
Prior to the occasion thus, NIgerian delegation to the meeting led by Nigeria’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs held a final consultative and coordination parley on Monday 11th December, where representatives of different Hajj minders in Nigeria perused talking points for the meeting to ensure that no important item was omitted.
Those in attendance at the coordination meeting were drawn from the diplomatic core, Rtd Justice Ambassador Isa Dodo, Consul General of Nigeria to Saudi Arabia, Alhaji Yunusa and others.
Other members include representatives of airline operators, Director General of Nigerian Civil Aviation Authorities, NAHCON’s Chairman, Commissioners and some important dignatories from related fields.
