The 2017 Niger State Hajj report has been submitted to governor Abubakar Bello.
The 2017 Amirul Hajj,Alhaji Shehu Danyaya who submitted the report at the government house said no live was lost during the exercise.
Alhaji Shehu Danyaya said there was no case of abscondment adding that no pilgrim was engaged in any criminal act.
He stressed the need for the pilgrims welfare board to be repositioned for efficiency and prudent management of funds.
Responding, Governor Abubakar Bello who expressed dismay over the poor planning of the exercise this year, emphasized the need for the restructuring of the whole hajj process.
He directed that the contractor who produced sub standard bags for pilgrims be made to refund the money.
About five thousand Muslims from Niger state perform this year’s hajj.
