Niger Govt. Commends Corps Members’ Effort In Development Of State

The Niger state government has commended the National Youth Service Corps NYSC for its role in the campaign against HIV/AIDs in the state.

The State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Mohammed-Ketso gave the commendation at the opening ceremony of the 2017 Batch ‘B’ Orientation Course in Paiko.

‎Alhaji Mohammed-Ketso ‎said the efforts of the Corps Members in the growth and development of the state would not go unnoticed as it has assisted in the implementation of government’s programmes.

The Chairman of the NYSC Board in the state, Alhaji Isah Ladan pointed out that‎ the orientation course would prepare the Corps Members for their one year mandatory service year.

Alhaji Ladan who is the Secretary to the State Government, enjoined the Corps Members to engage in ventures that would make them employers of labour. 

The NYSC Niger State Coordinator Mrs Theresa Ibukun Arokoyo delivering her welcome address during the Opening Ceremony of the 2017 Batch B Orientation Course on Thursday 23rd November 2017.

The State NYSC ‎Coordinator, Mrs Theresa Arokoyo said the Corps Members have so far demonstrated high sense of discipline, dedication and readiness to learn.

Correspondent Isaac Omidiji reports that as at the time of the opening ceremony 2071 corps members were already registered in camp.
