NORTH CENTRAL YOUTHS SUPPORT JONATHAN’S RE-ELECTION
North Central Youths have resolved to support the re-election of President Goodluck Jonathan in this weekend’s election.
Speaking with Kapital Fm after the group’s town hall meeting in Abuja, a retired Permanent Secretary in the Federal Civil Service, Chief Mike Onoja said the support was to enable President Goodluck Jonathan complete all the on-going projects across the country.
Also speaking, the chairman of Bwari Area Council in the Federal Capital Territory, Peter Yohanna-Ushafa explained that the meeting was initiated to sensitize youths on the need for peaceful elections.
The convener of the Forum, Comrade Adekunle John-Praise urged youths across the six states of the region and FCT to avoid any inducement and vote for candidate of their choice.
FRSC TO PROSECUTE PEDESTRIAl BRIDGE OFFENDERS
The Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC wants relevant traffic management agencies in the Federal Capital Territory to enforce laws that will reduce the loss of lives on the highway.
The Head of operations, FRSC FCT Command Mr.Wobin Ayuba stated this while speaking with Kapital FM IN Abuja.
Mr. Wobin who expressed concern over the attitude of Nigerians on the use of pedestrian bridges across the territory said arrest and prosecution of offenders would bring sanity on the roads.
The Head of Operations also appealed to motorist to obey traffic laws and support efforts towards effective road management in the country.
MINISTRY OF DEFENSE ASSURES PEACEFUL ELECTION.
The Minister of State for Defense, Colonel Augustine Okwudiri, Retired, has reiterated the Ministry’s commitment to collaborate with other security stakeholders to ensure a peaceful election in the country.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Deputy Director,Media Communication in the ministry, Mr. Lee Adams in Abuja.
According to the statement, the Minister solicits the cooperation of Nigerians to maintain law and order in every designated polling areas.
