NEMA: Sustainable Early Warning Systems In Disaster Management [Audio]

The Director General National Emergency Management Agency NEMA, Alhaji Mustapha Maihaja says the application of modern science and indigenous early warning systems in disaster risk reduction is a sustainable approach to reducing loss of lives and property.

He stated this in Abuja at a two-day expert meeting on modern and indigenous early warning system organized by the agency in collaboration with the United Nations educational scientific and cultural organisation UNESCO.
