NEMA Donates Relief Materials To IDPs In Bwari

The National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, has donated some relief materials to Internally Displaced Persons,( IDPs) affected during the recent communal clashes in Bwari Area Council of the FCT.
The head of Abuja Operations, NEMA, Mr Bitrus Samuel, said the gesture was to compliment the local government efforts in providing succor to some victims who sort refuge at the military base Ushafa during the clash.
Presenting the items to the chairman, Bwari Area Council. Mr Musa Diko, the NEMA official said assessment was on going to also provide relief materials to victims whose shops and goods were burnt.
In a remark, the chairman of the council, Mr Musa Diko, appreciated NEMA officials for the kind gesture and promised to ensure fairness in the distribution of the items to the IDPs.
A beneficiary of the items. Mrs Chinelo Agbo who expressed appreciation for the assistance, promised to use them judiciously.
Kapital FM Julian Osamoto reports that relief materials such as Palm oil, fast foods, mosquito nets, blankets, rice, beans, detergents among others were donated to the IDPs.
