NCPC Boss Cautions Against Abscondment, Acts Of Lawlessness By Pilgrims
The Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission NCPC has called on the conference of states pilgrims welfare boards to support efforts at checking abscondment of pilgrimage to redeem the image of Nigeria at the international level.
The executive secretary of NCPC Reverend Yakubu Pam who made the call while addressing state chairmen of Christian Pilgrim welfare boards in Abuja said the federal government would no longer tolerate abscondment and Acts of lawlessness by pilgrims in the holy land.
Reverend Yakubu Pam stressed the need for proper screening of intending pilgrims and ensuring that only those yearning for spiritual upliftment were allowed for the exercise.
The NCPC executive secretary also appealed to wealthy individuals, corporate organizations and state governments to assist Christian who desire to visit the holy land once in their life time
In a remark, the chairman conference of the thirty six states Christian Pilgrims welfare boards Reverend Isaiah Magaji said the meeting afforded them the opportunity to rob minds in preparation for this year’s pilgrimage.
