National Health Promotion Forum Commences 3rd Quarter Meeting
The National Health Promotion Forum has commenced its 3rd Quarter National Meeting in Abuja.
The 2 day meeting is to provide a guideline for effective implementation of the revised National Health Promotion Policy which was approved at the 62nd National Council on Health held recently, in Asaba, Delta State.
The meeting, according to the Chairperson of the Forum and Director, Department of Family Health, Federal Ministry of Health, Dr. Adebimpe Adebiyi, would focus on dissemination of the findings from the Survey on situation of Health Promotion programming, carried out recently, in the 36 States and the Federal Capital Territory.
Dr. Adebiyi maintained that arising from critical interrogation of the draft strategic plan, the National Health Promotion Forum would come up with actionable recommendations for effective implementation of the Strategic Plan to be translated to better health for all Nigerians.
She further commended relevant partners and stakeholders at the Forum for their support to Government in complementing efforts at re-positioning Health Promotion programming in Nigeria.
