National Dialogue on Peaceful,Violence Free 2019 Elections Ends in Minna

The North Central dialogue on peaceful and violence free 2019 general elections has ended in Minna the Niger State capital with a call on all key players in the electoral process to unite in a bid to ensure peaceful elections.
The Director General, National Orientation Agency, Dr Garba Abari represented by the Director procurement of the agency, Mrs Oluremi Afolabi enjoined Nigerians to unite in order to ensure peaceful elections while INEC should provide a level playing ground for all key players in the electoral process.
The Resident Electoral Commissioner INEC Niger State, Professor Sam Egwu who said only peaceful elections can guarantee the survival of democracy in Nigeria stressed the need for all stakeholders to ensure violence free elections.
The Niger State coordinator National Orientation Agency, Alhaji Mohammed Ali pointed out that the state office would make sure that electorates in the twenty-five Local government areas of the state are sensitized on election matters.
In their Goodwill messages,the Director Psychological Operations, Defence intelligence Agency, Mr Web Okwowole and the Director, Democratic and Development Studies, Institute for Peace and conflict resolution, Mr Gabriel Jiya urged electorates to cooperate with security agents during the forthcoming general election.
Participants were drawn from the six states in the zone.
