Nasarawa State Govt. Commences Implementation OF TSA In 13 LGAs
Nasarawa State Government has commenced implementation of the Treasury Single Account TSA for all the thirteen Local Government Areas in the state.
The state Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr. Haruna Osegba announced this while briefing newsmen at the end of its monthly Joint Account Committee meeting in Lafia.
Mr Osegba stated that due to dwindling resources from the federation account, the state government was looking inwards towards revenue generation to meet the growing needs of the people at the grassroots.
While announcing the immediate ban on revenue collection in the state, the commissioner said a consultant had been contracted to collect all revenues at the local Government into a single account.

The Commissioner also announced the disbursement of one point three billion naira for payment of January salaries of local government workers and one hundred and sixty million naira for Measles vaccination campaign.
Chris Nyamtu reports that this will be the first time local government workers in Nasarawa state would receive full salaries since October twenty fifteen.
