12 March 2019 News
Governorship Candidate of All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA in Nasarawa State Mr Labaran Maku has rejected the results of the just concluded Governorship election in the state.
Mr Labaran Maku stated this during a press briefing in Lafia.
Mr Labaran Maku said the outcome of the election fell short of meeting the minimum standard required for any democratic process.
He alleged that the election was characterized by malpractices such as ballot paper snatching, intimidation of voters and non use of card readers in most of the polling units across the state.
Mr Labaran Maku called for an independent investigation on how the results of the elections emanated from the polling units to the collation centres.
The APGA Governorship Candidate added that the party is making consultation with a view to taking the next line of action.
Mr Labaran Maku came third in the 2019 Governorship election in Nasarawa state.
