Movement Restriction: Nigerian Armed Forces To Enforce Presidential Directive
The Military is to implement the Presidential directive on movement restriction to ensure strict compliance towards stopping the spread of Covid 19 Pandemic in affected state.
The Coordinator Defence Media Operations Major General John Enenche made this known during a media briefing in Abuja
General Enenche said as part of the commitment of the military in containing the spread of the Covid 19, a committee was put in place to interface with Ministries Departments and Agencies in managing the Pandemic
He explained that some members of the medical personnel of the Armed Forces have been deployed for training on the management of Covid-19 cases which would be done in collaboration with the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control
General Enenche who pointed out that forty eight disaster response units of the Armed Forces have been put on notice to handle operations other than medicals stated that seventeen isolation and treatment centres spread across the six geopolitical zones were ready for use to address the Pandemic.
He said the Military was fully ready to implement the presidential directive on restriction of all movement in the affected states and the FCT
The coordinator solicited the support the general public especially by adhering to all medical and administrative guidelines to end the Covid 19 Pandemic.
