A portion of the Ganaja-Ajaokuta road which connects to Kogi East and the Eastern part of Nigeria has been in a deplorable condition.
This has continued to cause unwanted and avoidable traffic jam on the road thereby causing untold hardship for those plying it.
The raod which is a federal government road has been begging for attention just like many federal roads in the state.
As the rains have continued to fall the bad portion of the road has become a gully and vehicles now find it difficult to pass.
Officers of the Federal Road Safety Corps who were on ground to control traffic looked helpless as the situation kept going from bad to worse as the volume of vehicles kept increasing.
A trailer driver, Haruna Musa said he left Kano for Enugu but got to this spot and could no longer move.
He appealed to the relevant government authorities to immediately construct a makeshift road to ensure ease of movement for motorists.
