MINISTER OF INFORMATION EXPRESSES DISAPPOINTMENT OVER THE ELECTIONS
The minister of Information, Mrs. Patricia Akwashiki noted that over 200 ballot papers were not provided to her polling unit in Kagbu, Nasarawa Eggon local government area of Nasarawa state during yesterday’s presidential election.
Mrs. Akwashiki told newsmen shortly after casting her vote that effort to contact the electoral officials over the missing ballot papers proved abortive due to limited GSM network.
The minister also expressed disappointment over the delay in authenticating the permanent voter cards by the card readers in some polling centers in the state.
Mrs. Akwashiki also appealed to Nigerians, especially the youth, to be peaceful and compliment the effort of the government and INEC towards a successful election.
