Military Reiterates Determination To Work With Security Agencies To End Insecurity

The Defence Headquarters says the military will remain resolute and committed to the defense of the nation’s assets through its various operations across the country.

The Acting Director Defence Media Operations Defence Headquarters, Brigadier General Bernard Onyeuko stated this during a media briefing in Abuja.

General Onyeuko said the combined efforts of the land, air and maritime components of the armed forces led to the elimination of scores of bandits and terrorists including senior Boko Haram/Islamic States Of West African Province, ISWAP terrorists and Eastern Security Network.

He explained that troops rescued several kidnapped victims, arrested some bandits, kidnappers, informants and collaborators in different parts of the country.

The Acting Director also pointed out that troops destroyed some illegal refining sites, sized illegally imported rice, contrabands, recovered stolen crude and petroleum products.

The military high command while soliciting more support from the public reiterated its determination to work with other security agencies to end all forms of insecurity in the country.
