The Military has reiterated determination to rid the country of bandits and terrorists.
The Coordinator Defence Media Operations Defence Headquarters Major General John Enenche who stated this at a media briefing in Abuja, advised youths against joining violent sects.
He explained that the Armed Forces has continued to sustain the tempo and display resilience in its efforts to forestall the activities of bandits and terrorists.
General Enenche said the raid and exploitation by troops led to additional two hundred and ninety Darul Salam terrorists surrendering to the military bringing the number of those handed over to various state governments to seven hundred.
The coordinator while stressing that the military was determined to root out other terrorists urged Nigerians especially youths not to join those who take arms against the state.
General Enenche maintained that the Nigerian Armed Forces would continue to support Borno State Government in the resettlement of displaced persons in the state.
The Coordinator also pointed out that troops of Operation AWATSE in the South West and Operation Delta Safe in the South South zones through it’s subsidiary operations dismantled illegal refining sites, recovered some petroleum products, bags of rice and arrested some of the criminals.
General Enenche added that troops of Operation Safe Haven and Whirl Stroke in the North Central conducted raids, ambushes and Clarence patrols at various locations which were successful.
Accordingly, the military also carried out several Civil Military Cooperation activities as it engaged stakeholders in peace meetings.
General Enenche while calling for more information from the public, commended local vigilantee groups towards the Successes of operation Hadarin Daji and Sahel Sanity in the North West Zone
