Military High Command Begins Special Operation To Tackle Criminality

The Military high command has commenced a special Operation Code named Operation Accord to tackle the activities of bandits and other criminals in the North West and North Central parts of the country.

The Coordinator Defence Media Operations Defence Headquarters Major General John Enenche stated this during a media briefing in Abuja.

General Enenche who noted that various Operations had progressed successfully in all theatre of operations in the last one week, said the Armed Forces and other security agencies had been on the offensive against terrorists and bandits in the North East, North West and North Central.

He explained that Operation Accord which Commenced on the first of this month was to combat bandits and other criminals in the North West and North Central especially those who escaped and resorted to reprisal attacks on civilians

The Coordinator stated that Operation Accord is a joint Operation involving the Armed Forces and other security agencies in collaboration with other ongoing Operations in the country.

General Enenche also pointed out that the gallant troops of the armed forces through the land and air offensive killed 392 Bandits since the commencement of operation Katsina on May 4 this year.

The Coordinator added that the military high command commended the troops of the Nigerian Army, Nigerian Navy and Nigerian Airforce as well as others involved in various Operations across the country and solicited credible information to enable the military achieve more feats.
