The Director General National Metallurgical Development Centre, Jos, NMDC, Prof Linus Asuquo says the centre is poised to contribute its quota in moving the country’s economy to a global height.
Prof Asuquo made this known during a retirement get-together in honour of Mr. Manasah Mbayi who retired as Assistant Director in the centre, in Jos.
In a statement signed by the head Press and Public Relations of the centre, Sunny EWEAMA, Prof Asuquo says the metal industry has advance in its Technology to attract foreign investors into the sector.
It says the secret of the ongoing strides and repositioning of the research centre will not have been possible without the dedications and commitments being exhibited by staff of the centre.
According to the statement, Prof Asuquo who extoll the enviable virtues of Mr Mannasah Mbayi to include dedication to duty, trust- worthiness, sound intelligence advocate for reward for outstanding performance in the public service.
The statement also quotes the retiring officer, Mr Mannasah Mbayi, appealing to other MDAs to emulate NMDC in terms of harnessing potential and service delivery to move the mining sector to meet international best practices.
