Marseille are in advanced talks over a deal to sign Patrice Evra from Juventus.
Evra has been told he can leave Juve – who face Milan on Wednesday – and also earlier this month he had held talks with Crystal Palace.
Lyon were also linked with the 35-year-old, but it is understood Marseille are now confident of securing his signature on an 18-month deal.
Evra, who has won back-to-back doubles with Juve since joining from Manchester United in 2014, is expected to make a final decision in the next 24 hours.
