Kogi State Hajj Commission has called on intending pilgrims in the state to come out for registration ahead of 2018 hajj activities in the Holy land.
At a sensitization programme across the three senatorial districts of the state, the Executive Chairman of the Commission Sheik Luqman Imam Abdullah , said the 2018 hajj is constrained with inadequate time, thereby urging the intending pilgrims to come for registration to enable the state utilised it’s 2018 slots.
Sheik Abdullah who said seven hundred and seventeen seats have been allocated to the state for this year’s hajj explained that discussions are on-going for the slots of the state to be increased before the commencement of the Hajj operation.
The chairman who urged the intending pilgrims to come along with international passport, national identity number and authentic medical report, solicited the support and cooperation of stakeholders to enable the commission have a successful 2018 hajj activities.
In Adavi-Eba, Adavi local government area of the state, an Islamic scholar, Sheik Ahmed Rufai, charged the management and staff of the commission to work in synergy for the achievement and advancement of the commission in the interest of the people and the state.
Sheik Rufai used the occasion to called on individual to sponsor the less privilege who are willing to perform hajj,
The commission however took the sensitization programme to Zango cattle market in Adavi and members of Ulama’u, council administrator and other Islamic organizations
