Kogi Govt. Set To Protect Investments In Agricultural Sector

 Kogi state government says it will protect and ensure the success of its investments in the agriculture sector.

Governor Yahaya Bello stated this at Isanlu during a reception organized in his honour by the people of Yagba Federal constituency of the state.

Alhaji Bello who explained that the state owned rice farm and fishery at Omi and other agro based ventures across the state were aimed at engaging the youths to be self reliant in food production and as such would be properly monitored.

The governor who emphasised that Kogi was richly endowed with arable land and human resources promised that his administration would explore the agricultural potential in the state for the benefit of the citizens.

While assuring the people of transparency and accountability in governance, Alhaji Bello further promised to ensure the completion of all ongoing projects including Oke enyi -Isanlu road.

Correspondent Ohikwo Mohammed reports that, in a goodwill message, Retired General Paul Okuntimo urged the governor to ensure the provision of adequate water supply to the people of Yagbaland.
