NASARAWA: Fire Destroys Property Worth Millions At Masaka Market

Over two thousand shops and property worth millions of naira have been gutted by fire at a popular Masaka market in Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
According to our correspondent, the inferno began at about one thirty midnight yesterday.
Speaking with newsmen on the incident, The Chairman, Karu Traders Association, Mr. Sunday Danladi said two hundred lock up and about two thousand opened shops containing cosmetics, food items textile materials and other valuables were affected by the inferno.
While calling on the Senate Government to provide a Fire Service Station in the market Mr Danladi also appealed to Government to assist traders affected by the unfortunate incident.
The Interim Management Committee Chairman of Karu Local Government, Comrade Vandabo Iya and Etsu Karu, Huka Panya Baba, who visited the scene assured those affected by the fire that Government would come to their aid.
