Instagram’s new feature is causing a buzz on social media and we can’t decide if that is good or not.
Instagram has added a new feature that notifies users when a screenshot of their photo is taken. Where does that leave style stealers, stalkers and admirers? Don’t deny it – whether it’s an ex, or a crush or simply that travel blogger whose life you’re jealous of, we all love to indulge in a good Instagram stalk.
Wait! There is more
This feature has really been added, but only when the photo or video is part of a temporary direct message sent through Instagram direct. So if you take a screenshot of a photo that girl sent to you privately, uhm, she’ll know.
5 Ways To Make The Best Of A Bad Situation
People are panicking, but when they realise it is only for the private disappearing photos, they calm down a bit. What a huge relief.
In its announcement, Instagram said;
“Unlike other messages in Direct, these photos and videos disappear from your friends’ inboxes after they have seen them. And you’ll see if they replayed it or took a screenshot”
Just take care and don’t be in a rush to screenshot that photo.
