Insecurity: Kafe District Residents Donate Patrol Vehicle To FCT Police

Residents of Kafe District, Life Camp in the Federal Capital Territory have donated a patrol vehicle to the Nigeria police to curb criminal activities in the area.

Presenting the vehicle, the chairman of Kafe District, Mr Uche Okereke said the need to secure lives and property in the area informed the decision by residents to mobilise resources to purchase the vehicle.

Mr Okereke who expressed concern over the spate of insecurity ranging from kidnapping, armed robbery, banditry among others, stressed the need for
the police to redouble efforts in surveillance in the area.

Mr Okereke also observed that the lifecamp police division was handicapped in providing effective security to the area as response to emergencies was being delayed by the absence of patrol vehicles.

Receiving the vehicle, the FCT Commissioner of police, Mr Sunday Babaji commended the residents of Kafe distinct for the kind gesture and promised that the command would continue to rid out criminal elements in the territory.
