Ibrahim Babangida University Mourns Immediate Vice Chancellor
The demise of the immediate Vice Chancellor of the Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University Lapai, Niger State, Professor Ibrahim Adamu Kolo has been described as a monumental loss to the University system.
This was the opinion of colleagues, friends and students of the deceased.
A renowned Professor of Counselling Psychology, Ibrahim Adamu Kolo’s death is still hard for many to take.
For the Rector of the Federal Polytechnic Bida, Doctor Abubakar Abdul Dzukogi, the deceased left a positive legacy in his chosen field.
The current vice chancellor of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University Lapai, professor Nasir Maiturare explained that his late predecessor was a meticulous administrator whose contributions to the growth of the University is immeasurable.
He noted that the standard set by the late Professor would continue to speak for him.
Narrating his experience with the deceased, one of those who worked under him when he was vice chancellor, Mr Galadima Bala pointed out that his love for hard work was second to none.
The late Professor Ibrahim Adamu Kolo who was born sixty two years ago in Mokwa Local Government Area of Niger State, was a lecturer at faculty of Education, Bayero University Kano (BUK) before he later became the Provost of the Niger State College of Education, Minna from 2001 to 2010
He served the Niger State government in different capacities. Until his death, he was a member, implementation committee of the Niger State Teacher’s Professional Development Centre, Mararaban Dandaudu.
