Herdsmen Attacks: Kwankwaso Donates 2000 Bags Of Rice To IDPs In Benue
Senator representing Kano Central, Rabiu Musa Kwankoso has joined other Nigerians in condemning the unprovoked attacks on Benue Communities by Fulani militia that claimed over seventy lives.
Senator Kwankoso also condemned similar actions in other parts of the country in which lives and properties are wasted.
Speaking when he paid Governor Samuel Ortom a condolence visit at Benue People’s House Makurdi, Senator Kwankoso called on leaders in the country to come together to ensure that the killings do not happen again any where in the country.
The Former Kano State Governor assured that the Senate and the House of Representatives would continue to support Governor Ortom to ensure that he puts the recent killings in the state behind him.
While announcing a donation of one thousand two hundred bags of rice on behalf of his foundation in support of those who have been displaced, Senator Kwankoso called on the Federal Government and other individuals to do same.
Responding, Governor Samuel Ortom who stated that part of the state was still under siege by the killer militia despite the deployment of security personnel, called for the arrest of the leader of Miyetti Allah. Kautal Hore who he said have engineered the crisis.
He expressed appreciation to the National assembly for speaking loudly against the killings in Benue and other part of the country and directing the Federal Government to end the killing and expressed hope that the resolution of the senate on the matter would be implemented.
The Governor noted however that there was no going back on the implementation of the anti open grazing law in the state adding that he would continue to shout and raise alarm until justice is served to the state and victims of the gruesome attack.
