Nasarawa state government has signed a memorandum of understanding with Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation of Five Hundred Thousand Dollars to strengthen primary health care in the state.
Governor Umaru Tanko Almakura made this known shortly after the signing of the MOU at government house Lafia.
According to the governor the memorandum of understanding would go a long way towards addressing some challenges bedevilling the health sector in the state.
The governor reiterated that his administration would continue to give more priority to health related issues, promising to strengthen cordial working relationship with bill and Melinda gates foundation for sustainable development of the health sector.
Radio Nigeria correspondent Mustapha Muluku, reports that the Leader of the delegation, Director of integrated delivery, bill and Melinda Gates foundation Mr. Dana Hovig assured the state government of the foundations readiness to sustain the working relationship.
