Gov Lalong Announces Total Lockdown To Enable Fumigation

Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau state has directed for a total lockdown of the State effective midnight of Thursday 9th April to Wednesday 15th April 2020.
Addressing the people of the State, Governor Lalong said during this period there will be no movement of any kind, except those on essential duties.
He said the state Government took the decision to enable it fumigate the Jos-Bukuru metropolis as well as all the 17 Local Government Areas of the state.
Governor Lalong said his administration was liaising with the National Center for Disease Control for the establishment of a functional diagnostic center.
He said the state had recorded 48 cases of the Coronavirus which where investigated and were found negative, with 25 discharged and 8 still under surveillance.
Governor Lalong appreciated Companies and individuals who have made donations to the state as well as the role played by the media.
