FRSC Warns Motorists Against Breaking Traffic Rules, Regulations & Obstruction On Major Routes
The Federal Road Safety Commission FRSC has warned motorists particularly commercial drivers picking passengers on the roads causing obstruction on the major routes in the federal capital Territory to desist.
The FCT Sector Commander of FRSC Mr Gora Wobin who gave the warning while speaking with news men in Abuja said despite advocacy visits and meetings with transport Union leaders some commercial drivers were adamant to keeping to common traffic rules and regulations.
The Sector Commander said any driver causing obstruction on FCT roads would henceforth be arrested, have his vehicle impounded and force to visit government hospital for psychiatric test.
Mr Gora Wobin also advised motorists to always exercise patience and park appropriately to reduce road accident when it is raining
He stressed the need for drivers to always put on wipers , off radio, avoid phone calls and parking under tree to avert thunder when it is raining. raining.
The FCT FRSC Boss reiterated the commission’s readiness in carrying out safer road campaign to motor parks, bus terminal and public places for effective traffic control in the six area councils of the territory.
